01 Nature of the Agreement
This website, located at xatofiz.com, is operated by Xatofiz Book Club. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Club. We offer this website, including all information, tools, and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.
By visiting our site or purchasing a subscription from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, members, vendors, or contributors of literary critiques.
02 Membership Protocols
Membership in the Xatofiz Book Club is a privilege reserved for those who adhere to our community standards. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve transmissions over various networks.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in our elite discussion tiers.
- Billing: Membership fees are billed in Korean Won (KRW) and are non-refundable once the monthly literary selection has been dispatched.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
03 Intellectual Propriety
The Service and its original content, including curated book summaries, critical essays, and discussion prompts, are and will remain the exclusive property of Xatofiz Book Club and its licensors. Our intellectual property may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of the Club.
Members retain the rights to their original discussion posts but grant Xatofiz Book Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to feature these insights within our internal newsletters and member-only archives.
04 Rules of Engagement
Permitted Use
Engagement for personal, non-commercial literary appreciation and intellectual debate within our designated digital spaces.
Prohibited Use
Harassment, dissemination of copyrighted material without authorization, commercial solicitation, or any behavior that diminishes the club’s atmosphere.
A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your services without notice or refund.
05 Liability and Governing Law
We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. You explicitly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk.
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be settled in the courts of Seoul.
